Tooth Whitening
Tooth whitening is a cosmetic treatment which involves bleaching your teeth to make them whiter. The best way to keep your smile healthy and bright is to look after your teeth but teeth can become stained and discoloured.
Speak to your dentist for help on how to get a white smile.
After bleaching your teeth, your dentist will advise you on how to keep your smile white and help you do so. This includes brushing and flossing, regular hygiene appointments, cutting down on smoking and avoiding drinks that can stain your teeth.
We strongly discourage you from purchasing any bleach from the internet. Unlicensed bleach with harsh chemicals may make your teeth whiter but can cause a lot of irreversible, long term damage to your teeth, leaving you with the need for expensive dental treatment. Dentists are subjected to strict, legal regulations on any bleaching procedure they provide to allow us to whiten your teeth safely.

We can offer three options to safely whiten your teeth.
With all bleaching options, we advise purchasing “top up” syringes to maintain results. We advise two nights of bleaching for the first 6 months and one night monthly after this to maintain results.

White Box At Home Whitening
This is our introductory package for tooth whitening. We make a set of custom fitting bleaching trays and remove any surface staining from your teeth.
You carry out the bulk of the whitening at home either by either wearing your trays overnight using 10% or 16% Carbamide Peroxide or during the day using 6% Hydrogen Peroxide.
At home whitening usually takes around 3 weeks if you use the trays on a daily basis.

BEAM In Office Whitening
If you are looking for more of an instant result or are looking to push your teeth to be whiter than White Box bleach can achieve, you may wish to consider BEAM bleaching.
Your initial treatment visit usually takes around 90 minutes in the dental chair of “laser bleaching” which activates an accelerant in the bleach. This is followed up by at home bleaching for around 3 weeks.
Patient’s typically see improved results before they leave the dental surgery but following up at home is essential to achieve better and sustained results.

Enlighten Whitening
“Enlighten” are the only bleaching brand which guarantees shade B1 (the brightest natural tooth shade) and do not require a change to dietary or smoking habits. Each Enlighten kit is ordered straight from the manufacturer and you are fitted with specially adapted whitening trays with attachments fitted to your back teeth.
You will use a series of 3 different bleaches at home over the course of 3 weeks to. You will be assessed by your dentist first of all. 95% of patients achieve shade B1 within 3 weeks but some patients will be advised to purchase an extra syringe of “top-up” bleach to reach shade B1.
